Introducing the Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi, the next-generation Ethernity NFT, formed from our first unreleased artwork made in 2018. That’s right — it was the first hand drawn experiment between Nick and Mac, our Co-Founders, and Martin, Head of Content. It was one of the first attempts at varying mock ups that the team would iterate over the next year ahead of our launch in March 2021.
To celebrate the mysterious genius that started the blockchain revolution we’re all excited to be a part of, we’re releasing the Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi 4 years after it was originally made. Starting at our April 23rd Mystery Drop, we will release the first 10 of the 80 editions to the Ethernity community.

What is the Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi?
In the spirit of the groundbreaking innovation of Satoshi himself, we are thrilled to reveal the next generation in Ethernity NFTs to honor and celebrate Satoshi’s innumerable accomplishments and Ethernity’s dedication to offering next-level utility.
The rare Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi is our brave first step into NFT staking that will allow each holder to stake the elusive card for 365 days, which will unlock 10 ERN daily. In total, each lucky holder of the card will be able to claim up to 3,650 ERN over a 365 day period, starting in May.
That’s right! Holders will be able to stake the Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi for 365 days and claim up to 3650 ERN over the time period! This is a major step forward for NFTs on Ethernity — a next generation advancement to adding major Defi utility — one of the only platforms to offer such innovation.
While this is our first foray into our newly developed NFT staking protocol, it certainly won’t be our last. Join us by celebrating this enigmatic individual and the inspiration to continually push the barriers of NFT utility and possibilities in the frontier of web3, the metaverse, and beyond.

The Story Behind The Card
The Ethernity Genesis: Satoshi NFT is a homage to the mysterious genius that started it all. This artwork was the first-ever NFT created in our early days to honor Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonym of the mastermind who developed Bitcoin, authored the Bitcoin whitepaper, and ignited a blockchain revolution.
In the early days of Ethernity, way back in 2021, our co-founders Nick, Mac, and founding partner Marco were discussing the identity behind the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto. Is he from Japan? His name, after all, is Japanese. Does he live in the bay area- the tech capital of California? Or is that all a ruse? Who is this cypherpunk prometheus? He could be anyone from anywhere, he could be she, or even a collective! The speculation is endless.
Referencing a viral photo of a candidate who is potentially the actual Satoshi, the founding members looped in Martin- the brilliant design guru who is now Ethernity’s Head of Content. This was more than a meme, it was a reverence for the mind behind this innovation, a light-hearted meditation on the origin story of bitcoin. The creative collaboration yielded this fun image — the masked enigma behind the movement revolutionizing technology, finance and culture in the twenty-first century. Before they knew it Jason Heuser, Muhammad Ali and an overload of artists, athletes and entertainers, now the earliest authenticated Ethernity NFTs, took precedence and prompted the team to put this design aside — until now.
